Day 27
Day 27 — Active feeding throughout; chicks beginning to overflow cup onto shelf

Overnight the female alternated frequently between sitting on the cup and being absent — chicks visible alone in IR through most of the midnight hours. At 00:29, two adults were present at the nest simultaneously, a brief anomaly. A second two-adult visit was recorded again near 22:59 and 23:20.
Light activity picked up around 05:50, when a relief event captured the female departing and revealing at least four chicks looking upward. First confirmed feeding of the day followed at 05:51, with chicks gaping. Both parents were feeding regularly by 06:20, when a male was recorded interacting with gaping chicks. From that point through the evening, feeding visits occurred at roughly 20–40 minute intervals — both female and male logged, the male identified by red head and chest plumage.
Chick count peaked at 5 individuals visible in frame in several clips between 07:15 and 07:37, and again at 10:23 and 14:20. This matches the confirmed clutch of 5. Chicks are well-feathered throughout — described repeatedly as “older nestlings” or “fledglings” — consistent with day 14 post-hatch.
Multiple clips noted chicks visible on the shelf outside the nest cup rather than in it: at 08:31, 11:01, 13:28, 13:56, and 14:30. In each case, several feathered juveniles were huddled on the shelf adjacent to the cup. Nest area is visibly fouled with droppings and seed debris in afternoon clips.
Pipeline: No infrastructure changes this day.
