Day 30 — Chicks seen outside cup on bookshelf; both parents feeding; nest empty by mid-afternoon

Through the overnight hours, tapo close-camera intervals show chicks filling the cup unbrooded across most checks. Adult brooding visits appear at roughly 00:40, 01:08–01:11, 01:34–01:42, 02:13–02:44, 03:15, and 03:46. From about 04:30, brooding becomes sustained on motion clips through ~05:54, with the adult head-tucked in the cup.

Feeding picks up around 06:05, with one adult at the rim and a second adult visible at frame left, multiple chicks gaping. Further feeding clips at 06:14 and 06:28. At 07:05–07:06, the female arrives carrying a small piece of green food and feeds multiple gaping chicks. The male (red head and chest visible) feeds at 07:27–07:28, 07:48, and 08:42–08:43; the female feeds at 07:16, 09:02, 09:13, and several additional points through mid-morning.

At 07:15, chicks are visible on the bookshelf surface outside the nest cup, among spilled seed husks. The same pattern appears at 07:21, 07:30, and 07:41, where chicks are also seen pecking at seed on the shelf. At 08:05, the female is recorded feeding chicks on the flat shelf surface with the male on the windowsill; the clip notes the nest structure may have collapsed.

The female is settled in the cup through late morning and into early afternoon, with confirmed feeding events at 10:48–10:49, 12:38, 13:33 (chick briefly visible under the adult), and 13:39. The male visits and feeds the female on-nest at 13:32, 13:36, and 13:41. A person is logged near the window at 15:06.

Tapo intervals show the cup empty from ~15:07 through midnight; no chick or adult confirmed by the close camera for the remainder of the day. At 15:18, the close camera classified the empty cup as containing four pale speckled eggs — inconsistent with established hatching from May 7; likely a misidentification of nest debris or shell fragments.
